General Provide HR business partner support to a Brazilian subsidiary of US based value added distributor.
AnixterBrazilhas 100 employees and growing. The majority of the employees are sales/sales engineering/marketing and professional support staff employees. Approximately 10% of employees are warehouse employees.
Responsibilities · Ensure AnixterBrazilis philosophically aligned with theUSparent company while balancing the trends / culture ofBraziland the Latin America Region. · Optimize talent management for entire employee life cycle. · Develop and implement retention initiatives. · Develop and implement policies and processes regarding HR related issues. · Develop programs to ensure that Anixter maintains competitive with pay and benefits in light of increases in employment costs and mandatory union salary increases. · Communicate within a matrix based organization where leadership resides in multiple countries includingArgentinaand theUS. · Ensure positive employee relations and problem resolution · Ensure compliance with Employment Legislation. · Ensure HRIS data integrity - PeopleSoft HR. · Implement Anixter's Management Self Service initiatives. · Support talent acquisition initiatives as needed. · Provide training, guidance and counsel to the management team on interpretation and application of HR policies and programs. · Will oversee payroll and benefits administration personnel(1 person)
Reports to Senior Director of Human Resources based in the US.
Skills · Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills including verbal and written communications skills, presentation and training skills, facilitation skills, listening skills and negotiation skills. · Customer service focused. · Strong problem solving/consulting skills. · Success in developing and making compelling written/oral proposals. · Excellent time management skills with planning and organizing skills, especially prioritizing multiple projects/tasks. · Good PC skills with demonstrated ability to use a variety of software packages including HRIS and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and with the ability to assimilate present and analyze data as needed. · Fast paced, able to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge / Abilities · Demonstrated business savvy with ability to develop and maintain successful partnerships with both leadership and associates. · Expert knowledge of employment related laws and hr policies. · Proven ability to influence management at all levels. · Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and provide proactive, effective change management.
· Understanding and ability to ensure compliance. · Strong initiative to manage independently and to partner effectively with off-site manager. · Able to diplomatically balance the needs of distinct employee groups · Able to travel to overnight to theUS, Latin America andBrazil. · Must be very service oriented and highly accountable. · Accountable to a limited budget · Bi-lingual Portuguese/English is required. Tri-lingual - -Spanish is a plus.
Experience Target · 7-10 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner of which: · Latest 5 years of HR experience with a multi national company. · Service based sales/distribution company preferred. · Professional work experience outside of Human Resources. Sales, marketing or operational work experience preferred. · Demonstrated experience in building relationships with management teams. · Knowledge, interpretation and application of employment legislation and · Experience delivering HR training programs.
