We need an IBM Storage Technical Specialist to join the LRS IT Solutions team. LRS IT Solutions is an IBM Premier Business Partner and a VMware Premier Partner, among others, and we offer a complete line of infrastructure solutions to customers throughout the United States.
LRS headquarters is in Springfield, IL, but our business is worldwide. We have hundreds of employees working in dozens of locations around the globe, and we value the contributions of every employee.
As the IBM Storage Technical Specialist for LRS IT Solutions, you will: .Demonstrate expert-level product knowledge for IBM storage solutions and competitive solutions .Provide technical pre-sales leadership and consult with customers on IBM storage solutions .Educate the LRS Sales Team on IBM Storage solutions .Network with IBM and other LRS Partners related to IBM Storage solutions .Assist LRS management team in the development and execution of programs to increase IBM Storage revenue .Perform billable services engagements, including installation/implementation of IBM Storage solutions
You may also be involved in designing and/or explaining creative technical solutions for our customers. You will help educate our clients by providing them with technical information about their systems so they can begin to support their own systems. At times, you will lead a technical team, develop project plans, or conduct project resource assessments.
You will assist in sales efforts with the local sales teams. You will be located in our Springfield, IL or our St. Louis, MO office. You will be required to travel to customer sites located primarily in St. Louis and Central IL. LRS maintains a Blade Center and Storage Solution Center in Springfield, IL and you will be involved in supporting storage demonstration systems at this facility from time to time.
Responsibilities include: .Successfully perform consulting services for customers related to IBM storage hardware & software environments such that you are viewed as an "expert" by the customer .Develop time estimates for consulting assignments and complete the assignments within the estimated time .Maintain leading-edge storage and virtualization component product knowledge and technical skills that exceed those of our clients .Understanding of storage replication and basic disaster recovery strategies .Support and maintain the storage components of our Blade Center and Storage Solution. Center in Springfield, IL so that the systems are available when needed for demonstrations .Make presentations to small groups about LRS solutions
