Auto req ID 10849BR Job Posting Title Import/Export Analyst, Associate Business Unit Operations/QA Job Description 1) This position impacts the organization by coordinating outbound and inbound shipments worldwide while assuring corporate conformance with administrative and regulatory requirements of US and foreign import and export regulations. In this capacity, this position is responsible for administration of policies and procedures set forth by Broadcom's global compliance program. This position will have a limited understanding of the concepts and principles associated with these policies and apply them to daily routines, including but not limited to, daily shipment approvals, detailed classification analyses, license preparation and maintain associated records. Key responsibilities are to: . Build internal relationships to understand the product lines and operations of each business unit. . Assist in ensuring internal policies are in alignment with U.S. and foreign Government laws, rules, and regulations. . Monitor regulatory and legislative changes, and report to senior compliance staff. . Perform limited product classifications and prepare certain import/export documentation, including license applications where applicable. . Assist in performing audits to ensure departmental and corporate policies and procedures are compliant to applicable laws and regulations. . Maintain electronic and physical records to establish traceability. . Identify and report potential risks or violations to senior compliance staff. Additional responsibilities are to: . Work with relevant various departments to assess shipping/receiving processes and ensure compliance with US and local Import/Export compliance laws. . Communicate as needed with local internal customers and administrative staff as needed about changes in processes/procedures related to import/export compliance. . Assist Import/ Export team with product classifications, to ensure all company technology transfers, imports and exports are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. . Prepare shipment approvals in accordance to internal compliance policies and procedures. . Prepare outgoing shipments through monitoring REMEDY account and by using the FedEx ship manager online (as needed). . Prepare Import/Export documentation as required. Job Requirements Education/Certification and Experience Required: . Bachelors Degree and/or 1+ years of professional experience in related fields . General understanding of all applicable import/export regulations; including but not limited to, US Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic and Arms Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Schedule B. . Affiliation/certification with local or International trade organizations desirable. . Must have least 1+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Knowledge: . Proficient with Arrival, Remedy, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint (User) . Ability to understand job duties and responsibilities. . Basic knowledge and understanding of all applicable Customs, Import and Export Regulations. Skills/Abilities: . Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills; able to speak fluent English. . Executes with detailed instructions, strong initiative to complete tasks with limited supervision. . Builds rapport with customers, is committed to meeting customer expectations. . Maintain a professional appearance and disposition while on duty. .
