Job Description:
Job Purpose:Position responsibilities will include assisting with all facets of global provision for income taxes and financial reporting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740. Responsibilities will also include analyzing data and gathering information for external financial statement auditors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with compiling and analyzing quarterly income tax information for financial reporting from various global regions. Responsibilities include assembling and analyzing income tax reserves in accordance with FIN48, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and global income tax provision. * Assist in assembling data requested and communication or corresponding with auditors. * Research and interpret guidance for financial reporting for income taxes. * Assist with compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. * Ensure reporting requirements are met by utilizing a tax calendar Knowledge and Skill: * Knowledge and experience concerning financial reporting for income taxes, including financial statement disclosure and 10K / 10Q reporting requirements is preferred. * Knowledge and experience concerning corporate federal / state income tax laws. * Proficiency with excel and word. * Experience with Tax Stream software is a plus. * Must possess excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. * A team-player with the ability to work in a group environment. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. * Must possess the ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple tasks and projects. * Must possess personal integrity in order to safeguard sensitive or confidential information. * Must be a self starter and possess strong analytical skills. Education & Experience Requirements: * A four year college degree in the field of Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field is required. * 2-4 years of corporate federal/state income tax compliance and research experience involving consolidated returns. Financial reporting for income taxes is preferred. * Public accounting experience is preferred. Distinguishing Characteristics * Independently interprets, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations regarding application of tax laws to the company.
