Specific Job Description This position is located at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and will support the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program. This position will perform duties as a Vault Custodian (VC) and will be responsible for security support of classified and unclassified areas of the JSF Integrated Training Center (ITC). Duties will include, but are not limited to: assist instructors, students and visitors using facilities; operate badging and access control systems; monitor security camera systems; perform random searches; enforce all USAF and local security procedures and practices including controlling access to secure facilities, handling and storage of classified documents and electronic media, and monitoring compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC; provide assistance with file plans and documentation maintenance in classified containers; change combinations and generate SF 700s; assist in self inspections and prepare for customer inspections; perform and document vault alarm tests; assist in security investigations; assist in providing training and scheduling of Level 1 Vault Custodians in specified locations. Multiple Vault Custodians will be hired during the next 12 months to support numerous facilities at Eglin AFB supporting the JSF ITC. Vault Custodians will be hired to support either first, second or third shift operations to include weekends as required. While assigned shifts should be stable, applicants may be required to change shifts, if necessary, to support mission requirements.
Standard Job Description Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
Security Clearance Secret requiring an investigation within the last 5 years
Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
