Database Analyst III - Information Systems - Informatica Developer - Dallas Direct Placement or Contract to Hire Must be US citizen or have EAD or Green card Description Plans, researches, designs, tests, and implements upgrades and enhancements to databases. Responsible for security and data integrity. Responsible for daily database back-up and recovery. Evaluates the validity and efficiency of database back-ups. Programs and tests back-up scripts, researches and tests recovery methodology and documents back-up methods. Evaluates capacity and performance of production systems; installs and upgrades production, testing and training. Performs analysis of system to verify resources for performance optimization, including analyzing database performance and recommending solutions to enhance performance. Provides an advanced level of technical support to users and Information Services (IS) Staff. Provides an advanced level of technical consulting to staff members. ? Perform data analysis on multiple source systems, as per project needs ? Design and develop mappings in Informatica PowerCenter to accommodate business requirements for data extraction, transformation and loading ? Design ETL workflow with job dependencies and scheduling ? Tune and optimize ETL jobs for performance and throughput ? Develop stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL to extend PowerCenter functionality ? Design and develop web service mappings in Informatica PowerCenter ? Interact with data modelers and DBAs on data design optimal for ETL performance ? Design and develop exception and error handling ? Design and develop data verification and validation processes Qualifications 7+ years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter with minimum 2 years experience using PowerCenter 8.x 7+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, with thorough knowledge of star/ snowflake schemas 5+ years of experience in Oracle database development, using SQL and PL/SQL, with in-depth knowledge of analytical functions Experience with Informatica PowerCenter administration a big plus 4+ years of experience with Unix shell scripting Experience with real time data processing and web services in Informatica PowerCenter with knowledge of its XML components Experience with Embarcadero DS-Auditor a plus Excellent documentation and communication skills Have you thought about your career lately?
