Description
Candidate must be a US citizen and either possess or be eligible for a DoD TOP SECRET clearance. This position provides IA analystsupport for Information Security (INFOSEC) and trusted systems technology. Duties and Responsibilities: •Assist in recommending and coordinating ways of addressing DoD and other applicable IA requirements into MCEITS policies•Assist in the analysis and definition of security requirements of systems, including selection of appropriate DIACAP controls•Assist in the design review, testing, and documentation of the secure network and its subsystems. •Provide training for owners of supported application systems in certification and accreditation (C&A) reviews, including associated tasks such as performing security test and evaluations against DIACAP controls.•Assist in the design, development, debugging, testing, documentation development and maintenance of computer programs for security applications.•Scan systems with vulnerabilities, coordinating with operations personnel as necessary•Track C&A efforts using tools such as Xacta IA manager or other IA tracking tool. •Be familiar with Bluecoat output and other available log files for potential incidents•Analyze IA processes, recommend efficiencies, and assist in implementing those efficiencies which are selected by MCEITS management and the DAA•Monitor the application of patches in response to IAVAs, STIGs and other guidance, and manage resulting Program of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or a business-related field 4 years experience in Information SecurityExperience with at least 2 of the INFOSEC fields of Computer Security, Cryptography, network security, certification/ accreditation, and risk assessment and mitigationExperience with the application of Defense Information Assurance And Accreditation Process (DIACAP) controlsRequired Certifications: Security+ or other certifications as specified in DoD 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level I
