Position Summary:
Crowe Horwath is looking for an information management (Integration/Business Intelligence) technical consultant for the Financial Services delivery unit in the New York, NY office to provide technical expertise in the area of business intelligence and data integration software development. This individual will primarily have a client delivery focus and will assist with business development as a solution creator.
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of consulting experience related to software development (e.g. software development, integration, etc.) using data integration technologies and business skills (e.g. business analysis/process, etc.). - 2+ years of design and development experience in data integration and business intelligence solutions. Experience with complete SDLC lifecycle in this area, including but not limited to requirements gathering, data analysis, design, development, and QA. - Minimum of two end to end projects completed. Has performed ETL Design, Development and Data Modeling activities on five or more projects - Expertise with leading Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools (Informatica would be preferred). Certification would be preferred. Experience with additional Business Intelligence tools from Cognos, Microstrategy or Microsoft preferred. - Possess knowledge of the inherent challenges for a Data Integration/Business Intelligence Implementation. - Experience with a Data Integration/Business Intelligence Methodology. - Ability to work with IT and business personnel. - Ability to lead a team of 2-4 software developers from requirements to implementation. - Ability to accurately estimate the ETL and Data Architecture components of data integration and Business Intelligence Data Warehouse delivery projects - Experience with projects and familiarity with terminologies in the financial services industry would be preferred - Strong understanding of database design techniques on MS SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 required. - Strong conceptual thinking skills, creativity and flexibility. - Strong analytical, attention to detail, organizational and core project management skills. - Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills. - This position requires travel, up to 100% at times.
