Information Security Specialist
CIBER – ITO (Information Technology Operations) is a dynamic Managed Services based business unit within CIBER, Inc. an IT services firm. CIBER ITO is seeking a dynamic Information Security Specialist to work for a client based out of Washington D.C. He/she will be an important member of a group that is dedicated to provide high-level technical solutions.
Duties and Accountabilities
The Information Security Specialist will work at IFC HQ within the CBI Information Security unit. He/She will be responsible for operation and maintenance of several information security systems, daily review of security logs, security project support, compliance monitoring, vendor management, incident response and management.

Plo Alto/Bluecoat web proxy
Symantec Enterprise Security Manager
Avecto
Monitoring of Security System logs
Arcsight log review
Mcafee E-Policy Orchestrator (Anti-spyware/Anti-virus/HIPS)
Host based IPS
Varonis – File share auditing
Fortidb – Oracle compliance
Incident Response
Diagnoses of Network/Desktop virus/worms/malware
Identify and mitigate Phishing attempts
SPAM Control
IDS Analysis
Support of Audit & Compliance Function
Oracle/Sybase auditing
Unix /Windows Standards
Vulnerability Scanning (network) – i.e Nessus , NMAP , Core impact
Vulnerability Scanning (application)
Database events monitoring
Hardware:Specific
- Test security related hardware upon arrival prior to acceptance
- Maintain current security related hardware inventory
- Schedule and perform periodic maintenance and service
- Request and co-ordinate patches/upgrades to existing systems
Additional Tasks:
- Country Office related Security Support
- Provide Security Metrics
- A Security Liaison to World Bank Group Security and network teams
- Conduct Security Review of new applications/ services
Skills Requirements:
- Unix
- Microsoft XP, Vista , Windows 2000/2003/2008
- Firewalls
- Networks
- Working knowledge of office technology hardware; PCs, Servers , Switches , Routers , Firewalls , Blackberry , printers, etc.
- TCP/IP Decoding
- Excellent communications skills; the ability to listen and then clearly describe the problem and proposed remedy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team.
