Information Systems Project Mgr 2
The Project Manager will support a government-contractor team on a variety of Information Technology programs. The incumbent will coordinate with managers across the organization to meet service levels or project objectives as defined by the customer and must familiar with the IT Services Management model of service delivery as a process-based practice, intended to align the delivery of information technology (IT) services with needs of the enterprise, emphasizing benefits to customers.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring IT standards compliance, directing, coordinating and completing project efforts, interfacing with Government and Contractor personnel, providing progress reports, preparing project execution plans, schedules, coordinating and supporting team meetings, and identifying appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team.
• Knowledge and experience to work with Information System professionals, including Database Administrators, System/Server Administrators, Developers, business systems analysts and software test engineers.
• Ability to access, interpret and apply Government and industry standards, specifications, and handbooks to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction for individual project tasks while providing supervisory, technical, and administrative support
Basic Qualifications: • Minimum requirements include a Bachelors in Science along with at least 5 years experience in a technical management (such as Information Technology), or engineering management, and/or project management discipline.
• Strong working knowledge and experience with Information Systems, Project Scheduling Tools, Project documentation and MS Office Suite.
• Strong commitment to a team environment, ability to quickly adapt to new situations, and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong skills in IT project management, industry research, financial analysis, strategic business planning, verbal & written communication, group presentations and in building professional working relationships with customers, team members, and contractors.

Preferred Qualifications: • Strong preference for candidates with working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, ESRI Arc suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Enterprise Products (e.g. Server, SQL, SCCM).
• Desire demonstrated ability in supporting projects in the management of the requirements, procurements, licensing, integration and release of Commercial Off The Shelf Software (COTS) products
• Prefer candidates with the ability to create detailed and summary project schedules around COTS products release using MS Project
• Experience with performing routine project planning and create Project Plans and PM deliverables for assigned COTS based projects
• Demonstrated ability to assist in creating/update engineering project documentation (Visio Drawings, Word Specs, Excel ROI/CBA, Project Schedules, SharePoint, etc.) around COTS projects
• Ability to foster teamwork amongst the Business Reps., Systems Engineering, Operations, Configuration Management and Project Managers in meeting Customer Requirements
• Ability to develop and manage documentation and required version control.
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate agency wide customer conference calls and procurements
• Skills in maintaining records for COTS licensing
• Experience in using the ITIL framework is desired.
• Prior experience in a Government contracting environment is desired.
