Infrastructure Engineer (WebSphere, JBoss, J2EE OR Weblogic - monitoring tools req)

Acts independently with minimal direction to design and extend a stable production infrastructure allowing for flexibility while maintaining a secure environment. A top level technical design contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of infrastructure architecture. Supports the management team in providing leadership, architectural guidance and expertise, and technical consulting in the development, modification, and implementation of multiple highly complex information systems that conform to MST standards and methodology. Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which components are written. Provides leadership in the evaluation and recommendation of hardware and software solutions used throughout the industry for use at MST. With extensive technical and business knowledge of all phases of applications system architecture with strong technical (applications based) knowledge, provides strategic focus on system solutions that cross MST FOBs. May be responsible for driving multiple projects to completion. Independently researches and resolves technical problems of the highest complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

· An expert technical contributor in the eCommerce Infrastructure Architecture and Capacity Planning organization who has eCommerce system expertise with infrastructure knowledge.

· Acting independently with little direction, supports the project and management teams in providing technical consulting and implementation of complex eCommerce systems that conform to MST standards and methodology.

· Works within the project management methodology to analyze a wide variety of technical requirements and develop Architectural solutions.

· Adept hands on experience with a wide variety of infrastructure solutions supporting a high volume eCommerce environment; including designing, configuration, Capacity Planning and Monitoring solutions.

· Possesses technical knowledge of all areas that support the eCommerce systems, including operating systems, network, security, and storage.

· Communicates effectively with peers who are responsible for managing and implementing requirements. Evaluates and implements third party products in the eCommerce environment.

· Communicates effectively with managers, directors, project managers and operational support personnel. Implements effective processes within own team and across other teams and manages change to support project implementation.

· Directs the technical activities of other engineers and contractors within a project. Mentors junior team members.

Skills Summary:

· 5-10 years of experience supporting a high trafficked eCommerce site (Architecture and Capacity Planning experience a strong plus)

· 5-10 years of experience with industry standard 3 tier web application environment (WebSphere, WebLogic or JBOSS experience a plus, WebSphere Certification a strong plus)

· 5-10 years UNIX experience (including AIX, Linux, Solaris)

· 5-10 years of experience with industry standard web servers (IHS or Apache experience a plus).

· 5-10 years of experience in implementing systems within a complex secure network)

· Very strong analysis/troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.

· 5 years of Infrastructure and Application design

· Familiarity with Website Monitoring tools, such as Splunk, RTView, ITCAM, DynaTrace, SiteScope, Keynote, etc.) WebSphere Application Server
