Innovation Center Network Engineer
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum 3-6 years experience working in related field, preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working at dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Briefing and technical experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage team and work with minimal supervision.
Other:
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives on schedule and working through issues and s position provides technical leadership, and support for Verizon Experience Center (VEC), working with internal and external teams. This role will lead associate engineers and consultants to setup, & present demos at least 4 briefings per week of varying complexity; specifically aligned with customer and business objectives.
The VEC will demonstrate to select casual and enterprise (multiple verticals) visitors an overall LTE-connected lifestyle. The VEC will be an ""outward facing"" showcase for the LTE Innovation Center. In addition to providing a permanent demonstration home for products and concepts that have been/are being developed in the LTE Innovation Center, it will also seek to stimulate vendors and enterprises with future concepts to promote their engagement with the VzW Innovation Center teams for non-traditional product development over LTE. The VEC will also seek to play host to several media events and conferences. The VEC is being constructed as a state-of-the-art facility that represents innovation and Verizon Wireless' leadership in the LTE ecosystem-building arena.
This position is highly visible with outward facing demos for senior management and strategic partners/customers. Key responsibilities include leading & leveraging associate engineers for technical aspect of briefing, reporting, demo setup, network setup, story boarding, demo customization, coordination with briefing/event manager, continuous improvements that provides rapid development of demos. Supporting visitors who may want to ""try out"" our demos (informally, or formally via trial process); translating visitor interests into projects that will help BD fill the IC Product Development funnel. In addition, support in creating and executing process for onboarding new 3G and 4G demos into the VEC (adding to the superset); retiring old demos that are no longer compelling. Include designing vignettes/storyboard around the new demos in the VEC.
Strong presentation skills, technical skills, project management experience, good communication skills, and a proven ability to identify, initiate and drive projects to successful completion, on deadline is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Technical Briefing responsibility

1. Customize briefing for a specific visitor, this is an essential function that drives visitor's experience, product development opportunities and goes to market strategies.
2. Demo validation -- Ensuring everything on the floor works (demos, lights, AV, etc) before the tours; (ii) Tracking upgrades/refreshes/bug-fixes/roadmap for the VEC demo superset (not just the demos on the floor).
B. New demo entry/existing demo exit.
1. Create and execute process for on-boarding new 3G and 4G demos into the VEC (adding to the superset); retiring old demos that are no longer compelling.
2. Lead the associate engineers and consultants in enforcing the process for new demos and retiring old demos.
C. Go to Market and BD support
1. Supporting visitors who may want to ""try out"" our demos (informally, or formally via trial process); translating visitor interests into projects that will help BD fill the IC Product Development funnel.
2. Work closely with BD, associate engineers, peers, and management to take advantage & further sales opportunities.
D. Adheres to common processes and best practices to ensure program quality and consistent experience for guests. Drive accountability around these practices to all employees.
1. Drive ABPM best practices for world class briefing.
E. Prepare time sensitive, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
