Internal Account Manager - Education Selling into the dynamic Education Marketplace, this Account Manager role involves managing a geographical account base comprising Universities, Colleges, Education directorates within the Local Authorities and individual schools. Success in this role requires a balance of retention, development and acquisition to achieve maximum revenues across all lines of business. Whilst helping to build Classrooms of the future, your role will require a strong understanding of the education specific initiatives and solutions to enable you to meet the growing needs of the institutions in your territory. Main Responsibilities & Activities · To achieve or exceed all elements of your quarterly sales targets set for the year by selling all-lines of business · To provide quotes on all Dell products, services and education specific solutions through outbound calling · Provide an excellent customer experience by establishing customer relationships across all accounts within your territory dealing with all buying centres; ICT Director's, Director of Education & Children Services, Head Teachers, Bursars, ICT Co-ordinators and maintain a contact database · To have a good understanding of the initiatives within the education marketplace: HPCC, Building Schools for the Future Program, Academies, Specialist Schools, E-registration, Student laptop Schemes in addition to the competition that operate in this unique vertical · To develop an Account Plan for your territory, understanding opportunities for filling white space and incorporating newbuild initiatives to drive activity · Provide a forecast of opportunities and update of activity to your sales manager on a weekly basis · To use resources to maximise revenues by setting up and maintaining Premier Pages, using E-shots and personalised campaigns & mailers · Respond to inbound customer calls, providing direction and support as required to include Technical Advice and Administrative queries · Achieve 15 hours talk time per week, take calls on the education hunt group, demonstrate an ability to manage margin, loans, freight recovery, and payment issues · Develop relationships and work closely with your External, the broader virtual team and support functions across the business Skills and Experience * Good verbal and written communication * Excellent telephone skills * Degree qualification or equivalent preferred but not essential * Ideally proven IT Hardware or other high tech environment sales experience * Ideally used to working to quarterly sales targets * Experience of working in team utilising support functions * Ability to prioritise * Good time management skills * Self starter as well as able to work as part of team * Knowledge of the education Marketplace (but not essential) (M-UK)
