Instructional Design/Tech Training Specialist
Title: Instructional Design/Tech Training Specialist Skills: Technical Training, elearning, PowerPoint, WebEx Date: 8-25-2010 Description: Instructional Design/Tech Training Specialist We are currently seeking an Instructional Design/Tech Training Specialist for a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will lead other Technical Trainers and support staff in the development and presentation of training material; work with various departments to create new material and update existing material. Our client is seeking a self-motivated, self confident team player and offers a competitive benefit package and room for professional growth. Local candidates highly preferred. This opportunity will allow you to: * Develop course content while determining course structure and best delivery methods for presenting material to adult learners through e-learning, classroom learning, videos, and simulations. Deliver the material through the approved methods. * Assist with the creation of new training material and updates to existing training material as new hardware, software, and firmware products are created or revised, working toward being a Subject Matter Expert for most products. * Implement new methods of e-training and classroom training to ensure the company is using the latest tools, trends, and practices in the adult learning and training industry, always considering new strategies to keep customer satisfaction exceeding expectations. * Develop the annual training schedule, syllabuses, agendas, etc. for all courses. Maintain the department budget, create lists of hardware and software needed for training, and introduce new means of generating yearly training revenue. * Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities; maintain training statistics and metrics for the training department. Review training statistics and customer feedback to create and implement improvement plans. All qualified applicants will possess these minimum requirements: * Bachelor*s degree and at least 7years experience in Technical Training, responsible for e-learning and classroom learning course development (hands-on development of training material, not just presenting material that someone else came up with) and stand-up delivery. * Advanced user of MS Office (PowerPoint required); e-learning development tools (WebEx required), and training development software needed to create webinars, simulations, video-related training, and certification programs. * Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning methodologies to create learner-appropriate materials and incorporate them into class design and delivery. * The ability to quickly learn new hardware and software, and to then turn that knowledge into a format suitable for adult learning. * Superior communication skills; the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. * Some travel, domestic and International, may be required. * Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. * Local candidates highly preferred.
