Database Administrator
The Database Administrator will provide technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases. The DBA will develop a methodology for the ongoing assessment of database performance and the identification of problem areas and will continually work on enhancing the application process. The DBA will work with the Analytics team to develop both the physical and the logical database administration functions and assists in the development of our processing database and computing environments. Will work with others in IT to build the logical database area and provide technical guidance during all phases of the development process and will work with management in evaluating and implementing new technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in a technical field
Minimum of 3+ years database experience
Experience with server-client computing and relational database environments
Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
Expert level computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment
Expert-level proficiency in all of the following: Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, Oracle and SQL Server databases, ODBC, SAS Software, MS Access, Enterprise Guide, Symmetry
Understanding of medical benefit administration software is a plus
Bi- or Multi- lingual skills (written and verbal): A Plus
Ability to:
Communicate with users and management in a non-technical language
Manage competing deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
