Title: Interface Developer (Java, Oracle, Weblogic, Tuxedo, and SQL) Location: VA-Fairfax DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CACI will develop webMethods based integrations between Momentum, a COTS financial management system from CGI for Defense and Federal agencies, and various application systems in use at a large Federal agency within the U.S. Government. The effort will replace the agency's legacy mainframe based Federal Financial System (FFS) with a COTS based integrated financial management system to standardize financial business processes, consolidate reporting and management functions and modernize the information technology environment. We are looking for candidates with strong development skills and desire to advance their skills in a challenging environment to help build these integrations/interfaces. Responsibilities include: * Understand the Interface/Integration Requirements, * Work with Business Analysts to help them analyze the requirements and formulate sound strategy in implementing them in the interfaces, * Work with Technical Analysts/Programmer Analyst staff to translate the requirements into a sound design. * Build the interface/integration code using webMethods Integration platform (7.1.2), * Support interface/integration system and integration and acceptance testing activities, and resolve issues in timely manner. * Support deployment of interface code in customer environment and assist in troubleshooting any issues, * Support preparation of operations guide and other documentation, as required by the customer, * Assist in maintaining development, testing and staging interface environments. * Supervise and coordinate the activities of a group of developers - manage their task assignments so that their activities are completed as required by the overall project schedule. * Mentor and train junior staff by sharing best practices and lessons learned from past implementation efforts. * Candidate might identify process improvement opportunities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Five to seven years of experience in software development involving Java, Oracle, Weblogic, Tuxedo, and SQL * Two or more years of experience in developing integrations with webMethods is strongly preferred. * Prior experience with other application integration tools such as Tibco or Vitria are considered a plus in the absence of webMethods experience. * Previous experience in Oracle Weblogic, Tuxedo, BIRT, Business Objects is desired. * Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage activities of one or more team members is required. * Previous experience in implementing financial management systems for government agencies or providing post-implementation support will be a plus. * Candidate should exhibit a superior degree of discretion and autonomy.
