Responsible for collaborating with the Braking business unit (BU) leaders and Senior Information Systems (IS) leadership to define IS strategy and long range planning for the Braking BU. Aligns the global IS strategy to the Braking BU strategy by developing strong relationships with Braking BU leaders, communicating key concepts of the IS strategy, ensuring IS strategy will help the Braking BU achieve its goals, helping the Braking BU gain maximum value from their IS investments, and being a general liaison between the Braking business unit and the IS support function. Ensures leveraged IS projects and service delivery teams are properly staffed and supported to meet delivery targets, expectations, and budgets. Communicates progress of projects, initiatives, IS policies, key IS contracts into the Braking BU, as well as, communicate key Braking BU requirements, intent, and targets into the IS support function. Assists with preparation of business cases for projects. Sponsors and manages strategic IS projects for the Braking BU. Participates with global and regional IS teams on projects and strategy. Manages the Braking BU IS budget. Leads other IS managers and coordinators assigned to support the Braking BU.
The Braking BRM is responsible for Braking IS globally, but has a strong focus on the North American Braking operations. The European Braking operations will have a regional BRM that performs the above for the European Braking Operations and reports to the global Braking BRM. The Braking BRM has a matrix reporting relationship working directly for the IS BRM Directory while also reporting to the North American Braking Finance Director with strong alignment to the Braking BU Vice President / General Manager. The Braking BRM actively participates in both the IS Directors and Braking VP staff teams. Required Skills
Minimum of 10 years of IT leadership experience with a preference towards similar situated assignments described above. High degree of credibility, professional competency, and personal integrity to successfully develop and implement TRW’s IS strategy and achieve Braking BU results German and/or Spanish language proficiency prefered. Required Experience
Bachelors degree required preferably in Information Technology, Business, and/or Finance. Masters degree preferred. Job Location Livonia, MI, US. Position Type Full-Time/Regular
