Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for a Technical Accounting Manager. Our client; a successful Bay Area company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced incumbent to join their team on the Peninsula. This is a rapidly growing company will hire the successful candidate who is licensed CPA and has a mixture of private and public experience.
Technical Accounting Manager Responsibilities: • Responsible for filing of external and internal financial reporting, quarterly and yearly reports and various other documentation • Responsible for compiling financial statements, footnotes, management's discussion and analysis of other components to SEC filings. • Help with the yearly proxy grounding process and board meetings • Reports equity compensation on a global level for members of staff, Board of Directors and internal/external consultants in relation to GAAP. • Offer technical support and guidance to the finance group on the status of accounting problems, execution of new accounting standards and compliance regulations • Helps compile information for SOX compliance and testing • Partner with internal and external auditors on need for assistance • Maintain due diligence activities related to mergers and acquisitions.

Experience: Technical Accounting Manager Requirements: • B.S. Accounting/Finance required • Eight years or more of similar experience • Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures • Applied knowledge of SEC regulations • Present experience with revenue recognition or preferably for a (SAAS) company. • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Detail-oriented • Motivated, self-starter, who can work independently or on a team • Approaches challenging opportunities to resolve issues and can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance group as a whole • Capable of handling various tasks at a time and works well under pressure • Meets all deadlines on a consistent basis with accuracy and efficiency
