Organization Description:
Working in one of Philips Corporate Staff Departments, you'll be at the heart of our worldwide company. These departments play a key role in supporting the Royal Philips Electronics Board of Management (BoM). So you may be involved in helping manage the processes and functions core to our operations: Performance Management, Finance,
Human Resources, Technology Management, Brand Management, or Information Technology.

Whatever your role, you'll be helping implement BoM decisions, measure our performance, set company-wide standards and drive corporate initiatives. You may be involved in the creation of corporate products as diverse as our Annual Report, our brand image or a high-quality talent pool. But in every case, your activities will touch those of colleagues throughout Philips, as well as customers and stakeholders outside.

IT Applications

Your Responsibilities:
? Ensure that Software licenses are registered and copies of the original media are stored offsite.
? Ensure that Hardware maintenance contracts are kept up to date
? Prepare and execute file transfers via FTP
? Create and maintain user's security passwords
? Participate in the help desk concepts and provide solutions for first time issues and recurring problems with documentations
? Maintain a centralized library with relevant information for service contracts on the intranet
? Monitor the department's monthly expenditures and report any abnormal spending, ensure the general accounts are used in the right manner for occurring expenses.
? Prepare documentation with respect to departmental purchases, capital expenditures (PARS) etc.
? Work with the Director of IT to establish annual operation budgets
? Participate in the "good morning checklist" ensuring that all systems are up and running prior to the employees arrival
? Replace the evening Operator during vacations or unforeseen absences
? Support the HP3000 until the end of it's life cycle
? Participate in the Backup committee, ensure all backups daily are successful, and are kept off site.
? Maintain IT inventory of supplies

Your Profile:
. Several years experience working in IT environment
. Knowledge of different software contracts and support agreements
. Communication skilll sets in French and English is a plus
. All round good team player
. Attention to details and ability to continuously follow up on multiple issues
. Knowledge of NT and UNIX
. Ability to negotiate contracts
. Bachelors degree preferred
