Comsys IT Services has an immediate need for a Business Systems Analyst role in downtown, for a contract to hire s person will be responsible for meeting with management to understand reporting needs then coordinating all aspects of reporting including the final delivery of reports. Reporting tools used include Cognos and requires some Developer/Analyst skills in order to modify existing Cognos reports. This candidate should also be able to analyze and document business requirements and have the ability to translate business requirements into clearly defined developmental tasks and deliver the solution to s position will be responsible for reporting for the Governance area and must be able to produce metrics for oversight of the program including the following:overall reporting on the effectiveness of the program including specifically the risk assessment process, employee productivity and work queues. This includes being able to interpreting and analyzing reports in support of compliance with regulations and laws s will be accomplished through key activities to manage and track compliance with the information security program including the following:analyzing compliance with the Information Security Policy via creation and maintenance of key metrics including all aspects of the information security risk assessment process, awareness activities, exceptions, approvals, and se reports will be delivered to management, regulatory agencies and senior s position requires strong analytical skills in order to create and produce accurate metrics and reports and to ensure compliance with end user computing requirements in accordance with ponsibilities and Primary Activities:45% of your time will be to meet with business reporting needs by meeting with managers to understand reporting requirements and to coordinate all reporting needs for the business area. Assist management by providing meaningful analysis and recommendations to management to achieve business needs.20% of your time will be on design reports and integrity controls maintain procedures for existing and new duce reports in accordance with documented procedures, including regularly scheduled reports and ad-hoc reports.15% Create/modify existing reports as needed.10% Maintain PowerPoint decks in support of delivery of reports to management10% Attend internal team meetings, training and other miscellaneous uired Knowledge/Skills/Experience3-5 years experience in hands-on Cognos (Series 8 required)Medium to Complex report writing experience with CognosBe able to develop reports by Cognos reporting toolsExperience in DatabasesStrong experience in Access and SQLExcellent communication skills: Verbal, written, and eptional analytical and problem solving skillsStrong detailed data analysis skills. Ability to analyze data, develop and maintain metrics, trending and management reporting.
