This position will be actively involved in all aspects of development of the companys application software. - All aspects of the software development life cycle including, but not limited to - Requirements gathering and analysis - Creation of Project plan with project deliverables - Systems design/architecture - Systems specification production - Software development - Application support - Program and systems testing - Prepare detailed documentation - Conduct training - Ensuring the departments standards, procedures and techniques, specifically in respect of software development, are maintained - Provide guidance and support to the other members of the software development team, and in so doing improve their value to the department - Liaising with, and where necessary providing assistance to, the other functions within the IT department in respect of implementation, training and support - Generally assist the business in making the most effective use of its IT resources. Job Qualifications - 4 year B.S. - IT related degree preferable - Java certified is a plus 5 years experience and proficiency as a Java/J2EE developer. - 5 Years experience in technologies such as Java Server Pages (JSP)/Servlet, AJAX, XML, HTML, Struts Framework and Javascript are required. - 3 Years experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL and Oracle database versions 9i &10g. Experience with Oracle 11g is a plus. - 2 Years experience developing and implementing web services in Java applications. - 2 years experience with SOA framework - 1 year experience using Sprint Methodology Optional Technical Skills - DBA experience - Crystal Reports - Eclipse IDE - Experience with an open source web server (Tomcat, JBoss, GlassFish).
