Mindbank Consulting Group currently has an immediate opening for a Senior IT Analyst/Systems Engineer that will help our client transform, modernize, and improve their IT infrastructures to better align with their mission and business priorities. The candidate shall combine business analysis capabilities with systems engineering experience to create and maintain IT infrastructure strategic plans and technology roadmaps for clients. They will review plans, architectures and other documentation to ensure best practices are being followed by other IT contractors. Develop architecture and provide expert advice and council to CIO level client management personnel with regards to technologies to pursue or watch. Examples of tasks to be performed by the candidate include: Solicit gather analyze and define/develop business, functional, and performance requirementsTransform client's business requirements into innovative, cost effective, scalable, and modern IT infrastructure systemsID, develop, and define, and evaluate alternative strategies and high-level designsEnsure that the overall system design is compliant with the detailed functional requirementsDesign for: low cost, reliability, instillation, serviceability, and minimal preventative maintenanceWork in collaboration with individual project leads in a number of key technical areas to ensure that the sub-systems are compatible and that the interfaces are clearly definedEvaluate project plans and schedulesEvaluate project documentation for accuracy and completenessCreate technology roadmaps and strategic plansWork with other teams to set technology standardsConduct analysis and independent validation and verification of networksSupervise design, development, and integration projectsAssist in the re-architecture and re-design of a large govt. network to a fully converged IP-based voice, video, and data environmentAssist in planning of new VOIP frameworkReview, analyze and develop position papers on technology proposals presented by vendors, other contractors, and internal CIO personnelAssist in the development of IT security architectures including firewall, network and host based IDS solutions, VPNs, PKI technologies and single sign-on solutionsWork in conjunction with technical teams in remote locations, both inside the company and with contractorsPerform facilitated planning sessions to build consensus among project team members regarding task definitions, task sequence, and task interrelationships within the Qualifications: 8 years of in-depth, hands-on, experience in systems and infrastructure iliar with systems engineering and enterprise architecture principles and methodologiesCandidate must possess strong organizational and communications skills and have the ability to absorb and manage large quantities of informationExperience in system solution development 5 phase life-cycle: specification, design, development, testing, maintenanceAbility to research and design innovative architectures meeting stringent flexibility, resiliency, scalability, energy-efficiency, and other requirements of large critical network infrastructuresTechnical project planning and management experienceExperience in assessing highly complex problems and investigating, developing, appraising, selecting, and presenting solutions.
