IT Assistant
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide first-line technical support to users in the area of account administration, operating systems, application support, equipment and telephony. 2. Support Specialist will answer technical questions and troubleshoot personal computer hardware, software and other equipment in a managed corporate network environment. 3. Requests will be identified, researched and resolved utilizing the assistance of the appropriate IT support members for more complex requests. 4. Retains responsibility for resolution of all telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support including those that have been delegated to other IT support personnel. 5. Documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution. TO APPLY MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS: 1. A. Bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant work experience required B. or Associate Degree with 4 years relevant experience. C. In lieu of degree requirements, a U.S. Department of Education accredited high school diploma or equivalent is required with a MINIMUM OF FIVE SOLID YEARS EXPERIENCE directly related to the field is acceptable. 2. Proven experience in desktop and networking support, IT processes and helpdesk software. 3. Customer service demeanor and EXCELLENT ENGLISH communication skills MANDATORY. 4. Has knowledge of commonly-used call center technical support concepts, practices, and procedures. 5. Prior call center and technical support experience 6. Proficient in Microsoft products including MS Windows, MS Office, MS Outlook. 7. Experience with Helpdesk Software, User Security, and Active Directory. 8. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. 9. Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance with the Defense Security Service of the United States Government. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS SECURITY USA SCREEN CLEARENCE.
