Pratt and Whitney Information Technology - Global Services Engine Centers has an open position for an IT consultant based in East Hartford, CT.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions primarily using the SAP product suite for the P&W IT Global Services - Engine Centers organization.
The P&W IT Global Services - Engine Centers organization supports P&W's world-wide engine centers which assemble, overhaul/repair, test, and deliver engines and propulsion systems to our military and commercial customers.
Tasks include:
- Project Management includes planning business cases, execution to SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), and reporting
- Translation of customer requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Systems design and documentation
- Management of onsite and offshore/Low Cost Sourcing resources
- Proactive leadership for continuous improvement and ACE Gold sustainment
- Desire candidate with:
- 2+ full life-cycle ERP implementations experience.
- Sharepoint experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience such as IBaset Solumina.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident "Green Card" Required.
- Strong project management skills using Software Development Life Cycle methodology.

- MA/MS degree w/4-7+ years experience
- Phd degree w/2-4+ years experience
- Minimum of 3 years deep knowledge and experience in SAP ERP configuration, support & development (data conversions, interfaces, BADI/user exits, batch and interactive reporting, custom enhancements/transactions)in the following functional/technical areas:
- Project Systems (PS)
- Production Planning
- Materials Management
- Management and Operational Reporting using tools such as Business Objects.
- Proficient in continuous improvement using the ACE/6 Sigma methodology.
- Experience with delivering end user training & documentation.
- 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying software solutions for operations and/or supply chain management.
