RL Canning is a leading Information Technology Consulting Company. We specialize in the placement of IT professionals, both on a contract and full time basis. We currently have a full time opportunity with benefits - for a client, based in Tempe Arizona with "sister" branches in Phoenix and Sky s position involves acting as the onsite representative for RL Canning*s services at our customer*s location(s), and being a part of a network of RLCanning technicians at similar sites nationwide. As an employee of an incumbent vendor this persons duties will be that of a Project Coordinator handling the IT projects tracking and dissemination of information to all appropriate parties and end s is an ideal spot for a technical person (desktop) looking to further their experience in Project Coordination or Project s person will provide oversight for IT projects and make sure that the plans handed him/ her for each project are being carried out on time and as designed by the project engineers. In each project, prioritization, tracking and communication to project parties is vitalWithin this role it is also key critical that the professional be able to professionally network within the site that he is responsible for so that he or she knows all of the players, or where to go within the client site(s) to get the desired information. The person will be acting as a *guide* to getting information at their home site in Tempe as well as the other sites in Sky Harbor and Phoenix. Not only will they be networking with the client employees within the site, but also as point of contact with the other vendors within the site ( Dell / IBM etc.) as they are involved with the IT projects as well. Examples of projects being done for the client:-Refresh projects - The client is required to do an IT equipment refresh every three years. ---Current project---- Application implementations - ensuring they are up and running at *go live*-non-leased printers -- ensuring they are up and running at *go live*- O/S rollout - Windows 7 rollout. Keeping it on track and working with the application owners to ensure they complete beta testing of their applications for the rollout. --upcoming project 2011--**It is important that anyone handling the project coordination skills is also technical to a degree. IT is a great help to the client that the project coordinator is able to speak to the end users ( 1000+ ) on a somewhat technical level. ++Good to have technical knowledge in the areas that the others on the RL Canning team handle on a day to day basis--Dell laptop /desktop support * break fix --Active Directory -using administrator tool Active Directory Users and Computers snap in / looking up users for profile information / knowing differences between domain versus local user accounts / setting up share security for local users-- Some Windows 2003/2008 server basic installation and configuration--Ghost imaging as a means of backup for legacy equipment --Installation and troubleshooting of non-licensed applications-- Microsoft /XP operating system with some legacy OSs on non-warrantied PCs- Win2k / Win9x / NT4.0-- Tracking of non licensed / non * warranty PCs--Blackberry support and setup for Exchange services**As project coordinator; any work done off hours will be reimbursed as *comp time* as weeks will be kept to a standard 40 position is based at the client location in Tempe, with some travel to Phoenix and Sky Harbor as needed (expected once every 3-4 weeks)Once hired, the position will be salaried with benefits ( Medical, Dental, Holiday, Paid time off, 401K) + applicable performance bonuses based on individual and RL Canning team support metrics.
