IT Engagement Leader for Growth and Emerging Markets Business Segment (GEMS)
Title: IT Engagement Leader for Growth and Emerging Markets Business Segment (GEMS) Location: On-Toronto Lead the customer engagement activities of the IT organization for GEMS worldwide including: executive-level external customer and internal business stakeholder engagement; business plan & capability roadmap creation; request for proposal analysis, response-preparation, and communication; capability investment portfolio planning & execution; and business technology solution idea formulation, requirements definition, business case generation, and implementation.
- Lead engagement activities in collaboration and alignment with executive-level external Celestica customers and internal business stakeholders. - Envision, plan, and execute a business capability roadmap and IT investment/project portfolio to enable the GEMS tactical and strategic business objectives (revenue growth, financial performance, operations performance). - Leverage the Enterprise Architecture framework for Celestica's business technologies globally to identify existing solutions that may satisfy customer needs and identify new solutions if the framework has a gap in meeting a customer need. - Participate in the GEMS business planning process and management operations activities. - Identify and deliver solutions to continuously improve the effectiveness of the GEMS operation. - Lead delivery of all business solutions on the roadmap on-time, on-budget, and with high quality, while achieving measurable, value-driven business cases for all investments. - Participate in the analysis and formulation of responses to external customer requests for proposal, and participate in "selling" proposals to customers. - Lead the execution of business solution planning activities including: business idea formulation and high-level requirements creation, business solution design (process technology people/org), business case development; and high-level project planning activities (scope, schedule, staffing, and budget). - Establish, organize, and lead the virtual team of people across the internal and external worldwide IT community to ensure clarity of goals, seamless collaboration, and excellence in execution in supporting GEMS. - Apply the Solution Realization Framework (the framework that guides how new business solutions are planned, built, and deployed) to enable all solution planning, design, and implementation activities. - Nurture the application of a globally unified organization design and operating model for IT in alignment with Celestica's business strategies and objectives and best practices in the IT industry. - Ensure understanding and application of IT's internal controls measures, policies, and tical Skills: 15 years experience in progressive leadership positions in $5B firms, having attained Director-level. Supply chain operations, IT general management, Program management, and Global technology-enabled business transformation experience In-depth knowledge of business and infrastructure systems (such as data communication, phones/voicemail, systems administration and networking, business software applications, etc.). In-depth knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software and all aspects of the IT development process (application development, system integration, and software engineering). Extensive knowledge of IT design and deployment, and operations process. Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit. Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem resolution and presentation skills. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high performance levels within tight time deadlines in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands: Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Occasional overnight travel is required.
