Coordinate Voluntary Self Disclosure (VSD) IT activity by supporting the Legal group with collecting relevant information for potential export escapes. Activities include organizing spidering and keyword scanning tool execution for potential technical data content collection. Perform Root Cause Analysis on export escapes and report on findings. Execute containment and near term corrective action activities. Author technical sections of VSD documents. Coordinate and track IT corrective actions and provide monthly status on IT VSD activity.
Perform IT ACE Site Export Lead duties by supporting the corporations export initiatives and completing an IT export self-assessment. Develop methodologies for assessing export risk in IT systems using HP Quality Center, Mercury Quick Test Pro and the P&W self assessment tool consistent with UTC Policy 20 Appendix A. Integrate root cause findings from audit and VSD activities into lessons learned for risk assessments. Deploy risk assessment tools to IT and business units. Work with business units to apply IT risk assessment methodologies to applications and data.
Coordinate IT Export Standard Work and training by identifying requirements using the self-assessments as the driver. Establish a web repository for interim and corporate standard work. Enable IT and business units to follow standard work. Promote a one company (UTC Aero divisions) solution to export control approaches. Coordinate IT Business Area Export Representative periodic meetings and training activity. Assist with Integrating export standard work into our computer system life cycle process. Attend passport reviews, assessing adherence to standard work and improving passport export compliance processes.
Enable P&W export compliance by responding to periodic compliance requirements such as anti-boycott statements. Respond to changes in sanction activity by the USG. Work with Business Area Export Leads, Applications and UTC Corporate to define requirements for common UTC Aero export standard work and IT tools. Work with the Export Application tower lead to develop an export roadmap. Direct business units in the proper use of IT tools for exporting technical data. Review proposed tools for exporting technical data and approve for use or make recommendations for alternate plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of the following technologies a plus:
Windows Active Directory, LDAP, UNIX, Client / Server application architecture, Web based application architecture and LAN & WAN.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and MS Access
