IT Manufacturing Support Specialist

We are seeking two highly-ambitious IT Manufacturing Support Specialists who will be based in our Brampton Assembly Plant in Brampton, Ontario.
The IT Manufacturing Support Specialist is responsible for providing infrastructure and process support for theITM manufacturing plant operations, including the implementation of corporate sponsored applications that are critical to meeting the plants SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale) objectives. In addition, the qualified candidate will provide ITM support for plant floor applications and machine controls. Provide local and wide area network administration and support for Microsoft Office, active directory and level one Windows. Interface with both Plant and IT management to obtain business requirements and resolve related issues, as well as providing PFS (Performance Feedback System) support -- mainframe ntain IT corporate governance by enforcing IT corporate standards and guidelines within the local IT infrastructure. Manage complex projects from beginning to end.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree • Minimum 3 years of IT experience • Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Office Suite and Windows • Experience in providing level one support of Ethernet networks including switches, computers, printers, servers, wireless devices and knowledge of data highway networks • Strong communication skills • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science • Demonstrate an understanding of PLC based automated machinery, data collection, and process backup • Experience in supporting plant floor activities, including follow-up and assisting the plant customers in resolving manufacturing problems with ITM solutions • Good understanding of computer programming • Experience in setup and configuration of customized manufacturing support systems • Experience in managing complex projects from beginning to end
