ettain group has an immediate contract to hire opportunity for an IT Network Engineer for one of our top IT services clients in the San Jose, CA area. In this role, you will be a part of a brilliant professional services group dealing solely with Cisco brand network products. As a Network Engineer, you will be the driving force in carrying key customers to technical resolution. The position involves designing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco products. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot key customers network issues
Design and configure network products for our client
Provide highly skilled technical assistance to deliver enterprise solutions
Customer handling acumen in the midst of high pressure situations
Recommend network modifications for support in a 24/7/365 environment
Reactive and proactive response to network problems
Provide supporting documentation to solutions
Required Experience / Qualifications: Relevant Certification CCNA Network minimum (at least CCIE written is highly preferred)
Three or more years of hands-on experience with CRS, IOS-XR, GSR, and/or ASR9K operating systems
Four year Bachelors degree in information technology or related domain
Must have solid Cisco specific knowledge in network operating systems, products and solutions
Customer support experience and ability to handle customers in a high-pressure situation
Strong experience in troubleshooting, design, configuration, and implementation
Must be able to assume 100% ownership and accountability to drive the customer to resolution
Preferred Experience / Qualifications: CCIE Certification (at least written CCIE)
Masters degree in information technology or related domain
Other Requirements/Information: This position requires the employee to work onsite in one of the following locations: San Jose (CA), Raleigh (NC), or Dallas (TX)
