We currently have a 12 month contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager for IT projects at one of our customer locations in Charlotte, NC.
In most cases, will partner with a Business Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Responsibilities: ? Will be responsible for negotiating with the business to control scope, cost, and schedules for assigned projects. ? Will be responsible for following the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) Processes and Standards. ? Will also prepare project charters, statement of work, cost estimates, project schedule and detail work plans, make work assignments and monitor performance and quality for the assigned projects. ? Provide status reports to sponsors and key stakeholders. Project financial management, resource planning and vendor selection and management are also key responsibilities
** Must have experience with application development projects and experience with Application Delivery, which should include experience with off the shelf packages selection as well as custom development.
Requirements:
? Project Management skills (8+ years experience) focused on Application Development and System Integration (as opposed to infrastructure or PMO responsibilities) ? IT Solution Delivery Life Cycle - **Proven track record in managing application development projects through a defined systems life-cycle methodology. ? Strong Facilitation, Influence, Leadership, Negotiation and Communication Skills ? Understands Technical IT Systems and high level architectural solutions ? Skilled in project financial management including planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring and reporting actuals to plan ? Skilled in vendor evaluation and selection for products and services including procurement activities ? Skilled in resource planning, resource allocation and resource management ? Experienced in managing diverse, virtual teams and third party vendors ? Experience in reviewing the work of others including internal and external (i.e vendors) resources. ? Experience in coordinating the work of project team members ? Microsoft Project, Visio, MS Office ? Business Case Development ? Strong Business Process Analysis Experience
Desired: ? Skilled in Gap Analysis ? Electric Utility or Gas Experience
