IT Project Manager, Engine Diagnostic Systems

The Engine Diagnostics team develops software tools which analyze and process real-time engine performance information. The candidate will be responsible for the management of Engine Diagnostic projects and all aspects of the software development life cycle. The individual will interface with the leadership team and key stakeholders to deliver projects that support software deliverables for the Next Generation Product Family and Military Engines.
- Delivery of projects on time & on budget with quality
- Management of project schedules and resources in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle
- Interface with internal/external customers to develop requirements and define project goals and deliverables
- Identify business process transformation opportunities and develop software tools to drive efficiency in the organization
- Manage and track project budgets and statements of work
- Lead continuous improvement activities (ACE) to investigate turnbacks, escapes and improve application performance, quality and reliability
Candidate must also have demonstrated leadership of successful process improvement initiatives. Demonstrated previous focus on process development and implementation that spans organizational boundaries is important. Strong interpersonal skills required including good written and oral communication capability. Ability to effectively influence and direct the actions of those not within the direct reporting chain is essential.

Core Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years IT Project Management Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with software life cycle development processes
- Ability to lead and manage complicated, large IT projects and demonstrate ability to mitigate project risks
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts concisely to non-IT business professionals
- Strong business aptitude - ability to learn, understand and interpret business processes; ability to act in partnership with the business and be recognized as a valued contributor to business results
- Results oriented with intense focus on success and achievement despite obstacles both within and outside of direct control
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to work laterally and engage to achieve success
- Strong process orientation and ability to develop and follow standard work; attention to detail
Additional Qualifications:
- Prior technical experience as application developer (java or sharepoint) is a plus
- Experience with applications that process and analyze large quantities of technical data
- PMP certification is a plus
- Individual needs to be self driven
