Description
Key Role: Configure, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and SAN at a Military command and plan, test, document, and maintain responsibility for enterprise-wide solutions to Windows systems using in-house or off-the-shelf products. Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, implement and resolve hardware and software problems, ensure the integration of the entire system or subsystem, and maintain data integrity and system security. Install and configure Windows Active Directory and various Windows operating systems, develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for all server backups, and plan and coordinate the distribution of client/server software upgrades and service packs. Develop recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase, work with various vendors for procurement, and provide on-site and remote technical support. Apply technical knowledge to maintain high-availability servers and workstations for USSOCOM clients. Interact with local and remote clients and other team members and network services organization related to LAN, WAN, and SAN issues and resolutions. Assist with the purchase of software, hardware, and other IT supplies, support inventory management, and identify and resolve technical problems associated with the LAN and SAN. This position is located in Tampa, FL.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: -4+ years of experience as systems administrator maintaining LAN and SAN -Experience with Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) -Experience with supporting a Windows client/server environment -Experience with troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and SAN -Experience with supporting Microsoft Office Suite and Exchange servers -Experience with performing data backup operations -Experience with the Standard Procurement System; including PD2 -Knowledge of LAN and SAN measurement tools, network, and systems performance -Knowledge of federal and DoD procurement policies -Active Secret clearance -BA or BS degree required
Additional Qualifications: -MCNA or CCNA Certifications
