Job Description
We are looking for a talented Manager to join our Corporate IT team to manage existing DR solutions and to build additional capability as required. This permanent position calls for in depth knowledge and working experience with Enterprise Class Data Center Solutions running both Windows and Unix Operating Systems and Oracle and SQL Databases. Candidates must be able to demonstrate both technical competence and a proven track record in managing DR Processes and technologies in a large multi-datacenter international company subject to Sarbanes-Oxley and/or Basel II requirements.  Only those who meets all of the below minimum requirements should apply.  -         Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Systems, you will be responsible for the day to day planning, management, execution and validation of the IT Disaster Recovery processes supporting Flextronics Business Continuity Plan
o       Work with the identified IT continuity level process to identify and implement appropriate tiered DR strategies to achieve SLA in terms of RPO and RTO . Assist with short and long term financial planning for DR components of IT Operations
o       Provide mentoring to IT Operations staff to ensure success of DR programs.
o       Liaise with the Corporate IT Operations teams to ensure that DR processes are being followed
o       Ensure that all new Projects have their DR solutions built in from day one.

-          Liaise with Corporate Data Center Management to ensure that we have  24x7 availability of all mission critical enterprise services
-         Create and maintain consistent Processes and documentation to ensure reliable DR capability of all systems in a structured ITIL based environment which will exceed all regulatory requirements. 
-         Enhance existing change management to ensure that DR solutions remain faithful replicas of production solutions
-         Regularly run DR simulation exercises on all mission critical services.
-         Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to demonstrate DR readiness and to fulfill SOX and all regulatory issues.
-         Develop and provide regular management reporting on status of all DR planning and operational activities in terms of capability of meeting SLAs
-         Work in Collaboration with all Corporate IT and 3rd party vendors to ensure robust DR capability for IT services. Also  to provide a guidance and mentoring to local and regional IT teams to align their DR efforts with the appropriate Business Continuity Plan
-         Annually evaluate all DR plans for effectiveness , including motoring of all contingencies
-         Annually Review Business Impact of IT disaster scenarios with Business Owners to ensure full understanding of the level of protection for each IT service provided 
-         Collaborate with Industry peers to ensure that Flextronics DR programs remain at the forefront of best practice.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVE)(Include specific software applications, equipments, special certifications)
Core knowledge (Obligatory)
8-12 years of cross-platform (Unix & Windows) systems management including administration of back-end large systems and experience of mission critical solutions, e.g. ERP ( SAP, Siebel, Baan, etc ). Specifically, experience in high end Sun Enterprise and IBM Unix servers.

5-7 years of experience in Disaster Recovery Enterprise level IT solutions for multinational corporation with remote Data Centers capabilities.  Demonstrable capability in organizing and completing audits and DR validations to the satisfaction of both internal and external auditors.  Strong technical knowledge in network architecture, information security and IT recovery operations.

Strong analytical, verbal, written, documentation and presentation skills. Proven track record in complex project management.  Excellent written and spoken English including IT technical terminology.

Proven history of people management in a complex IT environment. Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and mentor technical teams to attain a high level of performance and standardization.

The ability to work under intense pressure, and to take charge in a Disaster is a requirement, as is the ability to work with diverse teams, geographically dispersed to achieve the DR objectives of the company. The successful candidate will have excellent decision making skills and the ability to chose solutions with best probability of success, even when provided with limited information

BS in computer science, MIS or equivalent technical degree
Must be able to travel to both USA and Hong Kong and other destinations as required.
Desired knowledge (Nice to have)
MBA or equivalent post graduate management qualification
Six Sigma, Lean or Project Management qualifications
BCBP / DRI or equivalent certification in Business Continuity Planning
ITIL Certification and practical experience

Baan tools & Oracle DBA knowledge
SAP Environment Experience
