Kelly IT Resources has an opportunity for a Project Manager for a client in the Troy, MI area. This position will be for a 6 month duration with a possibility of extension. Kelly IT Resources is among the largest and most respected technology recruitment firms in the country.
Job Description: - Maintain and extend the company Data Warehouse to enable business users to access data, leverage information for facilitating decision-making, exploration and innovation. - Uphold the vision of an enterprise reporting model. - Develop operational and analytical reports and reporting capabilities to meet business needs. - Provide governance and support for all IT and end user report development activities
Responsibilities - Manage the inflow of development requests, obtain prioritization direction, determine resource assignments and resolve conflicts in priorities. - Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors. Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Provide performance feedback and developmental coaching. - Gather information from subject matter experts to define project scope, goals, options and deliverables. Prepare high level estimates and resource requirements to enable senior management to make prioritization and funding decisions. - Gather and report project status updates. Track quarterly metrics. - Assist the development team with setting direction and management of larger projects. Develop project plans. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Track project milestones and deliverables. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. - Ensure the quality of project deliverables. - Assist the development team with communication to project stakeholders and collaboration with other departments. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of projects.
Required Skills - Experience in Business Intelligence or Data warehousing projects preferred. - Excellent leadership, decision-making, team building and relationship management skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver effective presentations to I/T and business leaders. - Excellent meeting facilitation and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to often bring groups to consensus. - Strong knowledge of project management and office productivity tools used to manage software/infrastructure development projects. Tools and documents used should include MS Project, Issue Log, Scope Change Log, Resource Allocation Models, Financial Models, ROI and measurement tracking models. - Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. - IT Experience: > 7 years, Project Management Experience: > 5 years - Staffing Industry experience is a plus
Education - Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience. - PM Certification preferred
