IT Support Specialist
Position: IT Support Specialist Position summary: You will be working alongside a team of IT support staff to support day to day operations, management and maintenance of Windows Servers and desktop environments across all branches. The role would be best suited for candidates who have 3 to 5 years of enterprise level support experience and have the motivation to learn about new technologies and their application in a business environment to improve operations. Responsibilities - Take ownership of our existing VMWare environment - Maintain Exchange 2007 Server environment with goal of migrating to Exchange 2010 - Assist users with desktop issues as they arise - Monitor, maintain, patch and troubleshoot server and desktop environments - Document processes and procedures - Oversee initiatives from conception to deployment - Deploy new software and technology as needed - Occasional travelling to various branches - Deploy new offices by installing servers, desktop, phone system and network equipment Qualifications - A diploma or degree in IT related studies - Advanced certification such as an MCSA, A+ and Network+ with a minimum of 3 -5 years experience supporting an enterprise network - Thorough knowledge of the operations of most areas of TCP/IP services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Print Services, Backup Exec, Security, VPN, VOIP, routers, switches and firewalls - Strong knowledge of business processes with the ability to implement support systems - Exceptional skills in the Vmware, Windows Server and Workstation environments - Minor understanding of various phone system (Avaya, Nortel, and Mitel) - Strong Verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer service skills - You must have a valid drivers license and own a vehicle Interested in applying?
