Overview
Our client is seeking an IT Technical Lead, Enterprise Solutions. This person is a key member of the Information Technology department with the successful candidate being involved in the analysis, design and implementation of IT solutions for various divisions. The primary focus of this role is on the technical aspects of SAP with a secondary focus on other technologies.
Role and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead the investigation and analysis of, and act as a key decision maker in new functionality and technologies related to all IT projects;
Stay current on emerging technologies and changes to existing systems;
Liaison with other IT support teams to identify and manage system priorities, troubleshoot technical issues and develop long term strategies;
Recommend integration opportunities, process improvements and system solutions to assist business objectives;
Contribute to the design, development, and testing of interfaces, enhancements, reports and data conversions;
Contribute as part of a diverse team to resolve complex business issues;
Assist with the coordination of unit, integration and acceptance tests;
Prepare and review deliverables, including technical specifications;
Review developments and ensure good coding practices are followed.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree combined with a minimum of 12 - 15 years of IT experience including but not limited to: (i) SAP R/3 ABAP development; (ii) Software development; (iii) Database design; (iv) Hardware/Infrastructure; and (v) Mobile devices
Previous experience supporting production environments, working with end users to identify and resolve business issues in an innovative manner;
Strong technical management and support skills, specifically able to work with end users to identify and resolve business issues in an innovative manner;
Strong analytical and customer service skills;
Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required;
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;
Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
Desired Skills:
SAP ABAP Certification an asset.
