IT26 - Help Desk Level 2

his position is in the growing IT health sector with a small, tight knight positive group of Triage Technical Support professionals. Seeking motivated, fast-ramp-up to proprietary software and support for T4 (IT managers, other technicals). Advancement opportunities (not just lip service). This is a contract to hire, 30-60 days. We helped build this team from the ground up last year, and they are growing it for more support as the company grows.

~$18 / hr-$22 / hr +

The Support Engineer functions as a liaison between our clients, suppliers and customers by providing exceptional support and technical implementation services. The Support Engineer ensures a positive relationship with all customer accounts by furnishing first-level triage, first-level technical resolution, and by appropriately escalating issues as necessary in a timely manner. Knowledge of the client products will be necessary for properly logging and triaging issues. Creating a strong partnership and identifying key users that can and will provide positive feedback to client's prospective customers is also a requirement. In addition, the Support Engineer will assist with proactive system monitoring and provide 24x7 technical support on a rotational basis.

Qualifications:
• Technical help desk experience
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office, MS Outlook, and standard web browsers
• Demonstrated effective communication; must be proficient in oral, written and technical communication
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to multi-task effectively and set priorities

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with SQL and relational databases strongly preferred
• Knowledge of DOS and/or Linux commands
• Knowledge of networking
• Experience with Virtual Private Networks
• Knowledge of virtual machines
