Service Desk Representative - (Help desk level 3) We are assisting our client in filling intermediate roles (temp to perm - 3 month contract to hire) on their IT Service Desk. Their Service Desk is considered Tier 1. They solve in the range of 90 + of the issues they receive. In regards to hardware support, the help desk is responsible for all the company's desktops & laptops which are primarily HPs. Requirements: • Must have Windows experience, preferably both XP and 7 • 5 yrs. Helpdesk experience required • Co. is currently migrating from Office 2007 to 2010 so competency in both systems is needed • They use a ticketing software called SDE (baby brother to Remedy) and though not necessary, previous experience with a similar software (ticketing system) is needed • Experience with a variety of printers and Blackberrys would also be a plus • A star candidate is going to have excellent communication skills and customer service experience. At the end of the day, the primary role on the Service Desk is customer service. This area is the face of IT for the company. All the calls begin and end with the Service Desk team. There are a variety of users, with a variety of computer skills. • They need to be able to assess the type of user in a matter of moments and adjust our approach to that user. • They need to be able to calm frustrated users, get their computer working right, and leave them feeling confident that the issue is resolved.
