Our client has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer.
Network Engineer will provide operational support in designing, implementing, and maintaining e-commerce networking systems and services, appropriate and necessary for the delivery of SaaS software, information and data across a high performance networking infrastructure environment; implement network software and hardware systems, troubleshoot state of the art network hardware, provide assistance to users of the network and participate in performance monitoring and tuning activities; track new products, coordinate, recommend and perform product hardware upgrades; conduct technology research and development, and provide standardization recommendation; responsible for documentation and upgrading of end-user support.
Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks. Installs, configure, and maintain network services.
Supports administration of servers and server cluster. Manages all system back-up and restore protocol.
Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
Performs troubleshooting analysis of servers, work stations and associated systems. Documents network problems and resolutions for the future reference. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
Oversees software and network security. Assists in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executables.
Networks Switches. Firewalls 525, 520, 515, 506 , VPN Concentrator 3000 series, Cisco IOS Firewall feature set IOS 12.X or similar Load balancing devices or equivalent
Implemented QoS using FIFO, Weighted Fair Queuing, Priority Queuing, Custom Queuing, RSVP, RED, CAR. Implemented SNMP on devices to allow for network management Implemented traffic filters using Standard and Extended access-lists, Distribute-Lists, and Route Maps.
Implementation of HSRP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP, MRTG. MS Exchange, Email server, E-Commerce applications, multiple web portals, ecommerce.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. Desired Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE. Strong systems experience: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux. Strong networking experience: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS.
