Title: JAVA Developer Skills: PLEASE: NO THIRD PARTY RESUMES! Date: 8-25-2010 Description: The client is implementing system enhancements that include capturing requirements for new fund types in State WIA/TAA Grants from stimulus package, establishing additional administrative functions, and establishing additional reporting functionality. The WIA/TAA Tracking Project requires a senior level resource that has experience in the full life of cycle of software development and support activities. The candidate will meet the deadlines provided by the project manager and business units by understanding and analyzing requirements, designing, developing and testing solutions as per the architects recommendation. The candidate will submit program and design work for review by technical and user staff and leads review of other team members work to assure the application has sound analysis, programming and design techniques. The candidate will also maintain existing code base as well as new codes that go into production. The successful candidate will guide junior team members in development, testing and troubleshooting and overall act as mentor. Candidate will stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in software development industry. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have experience with the source control tool Clear Case and build tools such as ant and make management preferably Maven (Proficient 2-3YRS.) Must have experience on 3 or more new development projects as a data architect (Expert 2-3YRS) Must have experience in planning, recommending an approach, and implementing data migration strategies based on the data requirements (Expert 4-5YRS) Responsible for recommending data migration tools if needed (Expert 4-5YRS) Must have experience in gathering data requirements and producing logical and physical models with definition of the data (Expert 4-5YRS) Experience working with SQL and Relational Databases preferably DB2 (Expert 4-5YRS) Must have experience in maintaining DB2 physical data and monitoring performance (Proficient 2-3YRS) Must have experience creating DB2 stored procedures with DB2 procedural language (Proficient 2-3YRS) Must have experience in defect tracking tools Clear Quest (Proficient 2-3YRS) Must have solid understanding and experience with common design patterns such as MVC, facade, delegate, etc (Expert 3-4YRS) Must have experience in creating logical and physical models within the ErWin modeling tool (Expert 4-5YRS) Must have knowledge and experience with open source frameworks and components such as Struts and Spring (Expert 2-3YRS) Must have a 4 year or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field Must have worked as J2EE developer; at least 2 positions held over the 5 years must be as a Senior Java Developer, preference will be given for COBOL experience/background (5-6yrs) Experience working in a test-first development methodology (Proficient 2-3YRS) Must have solid knowledge of object oriented design and development.
