We are currently working with one of our phenomenal software partners who is seeking a dedicated Java Developer. This position offers the chance to work with a well-established team in a growing company which has a strong reputation in Austin. This position pays at 75-80K plus benefits. Qualifications:
Successful track record developing enterprise class products and/or infrastructures needed for product development that deliver customer value and strong differentiation through leading-edge technology
Deep UI design and implementation experience
Proven Usability experience record
Web services server implementation experience, including Java backend
Hands on experience with open source web service stack(s), like PHP, cgi, Apache
Working experience with Java, Java beans and Java data handling, e.g. JSON & XMLRPC
Expertise in scripting languages, like PERL and Python
Knowledge of web client test tools, like Selenium
Experience with object oriented design and programming
Experience with DataBase schemas and working knowledge with MySQL
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with SVN is a plus
Working experience with open source build/test tools such as ANT or Hudson
Experience developing web services with REST-style interfaces
Required Skills:
5+ years of continuous software development with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
3+ years of continuous software development in advanced Java and experience with agile development methodologies
Strong object-oriented programming experience and expertise with modular designs
Web development skills (e.g. MVC frameworks, AJAX, JSP, Servlets, Spring, and Hibernate)
Additional Assets:
J2EE Application server (such as Glassfish, Tomcat, Jboss) knowledge including configuration, monitoring and administration
Knowledge of JEE application profiling
Knowledge of XML and SOAP
Kowledge of JMX and monitoring tools
Knowledge of Performance and Stress Testing tools and methodologies
