All of our requirements are from direct have an immediate need for Java Developer for our direct ation: 10 monthsLocation: Carlsbad, CADescription:This is a terrific opportunity to use advanced Java techniques, and be the senior member of a development team. Work in a dynamic environment with many technologies and applications, both internally built and customized commercial products. Requirements:* Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science * Must have experience with developing and supporting Java applications and good understanding of commercial product integrations, plugin frameworks, and corporate intranets. * 7+ years of successful experience in software development, using at least one of the SDLC models and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals. * Solid background in server-side Java and expert knowledge of the language. * Strong OO design concepts in Java, and solid experience knowledge on common web application frameworks. (Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JDO/JPA, Axis, Web Services, XML Parsers, JSP/Servlets, JNDI, etc.) * Setup and configuration of Java application servers and web servers like Tomcat, jBoss, Weblogic, and Apache in Linux environment. * Ability to write efficient SQL queries and tune performance on Oracle 9+ RDBMS. Knowledge of MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or other DBs a plus. * Solid understanding of Web2.0 internet technologies on some of the following client side technologies. (Flex/ActionScript, AJAX, JavaScript, REST, CSS, JSF, GWT, ZK-RIA, etc.) * Source code and release management best practices. (ie. CVS, SVN, Maven, Ant) * Ability to work independently and within project teams on multiple projects. Communicate clearly with business partners to refine requirements, coordinate testing, and work with support teams to push builds into production. * Must be highly self-motivated. Looking for someone who doesn''t require supervision and is capable of setting their own priorities. * Provide design leadership and technical assistance to other team members. Additional Desired Skills (PLUS): * Experience with Jive social business software and/or plugin development using Struts, Java API, Spring, ANT, Maven, Freemarker. * Experience on corporate intranets, social networking/collaboration tools, and wiki applications are helpful. * Development experience on a variety of web technologies like ColdFusion, C#/, Perl, Ruby, PHP.
