TEKsystems has partnered with our client in downtown DC to identify a Senior Java Developer. This individual will be working on mission critical re-architecture projects. Solid technical expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and SOA is necessary for this lifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field- Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience- Professional certification and post-graduate degree are desired- Advanced knowledge of Java and J2EE Minimum of 5 years- Advanced experience with Java Web Application framework- Minimum of 3 years of strong practical experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate- User Interface Design experience is a plus- Minimum of 2 years experience with Ajax technology and Javascript/Ajax- Strong practical experience with relational database management system working experience with Oracle is preferred- Working experience with Web services and service oriented architecture principles is a must- Minimum of 3 years of working experience with design patterns, continuous integration, automated unit test and test driven development - Work experience on large scale projects is a must- Solid experience with WebSphere or equivalent application servers- Strong interpersonal skills- Demonstrated proficiency at following Iterative development life cycles and associated standards and procedures- Demonstrated experience in Object-Oriented Design - Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment Responsibilities:- In collaboration with the manager, architects, and Lead software engineer performs analysis, design, development and unit testing of complex software applications; and resolution of defects.- Works with project lead engineer to develop project estimates, tasks and schedules- Provides project status updates to project lead - Helps with development of system documentation according to established standards.- Participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.
