JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior developer to provide complex business solutions, using latest software programming languages and tools, following development best practices.
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
Works on complex problems / projects with in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work.
Leads and /or provides expertise to functional and cross-functional project teams.
Can provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
Education and Experience Required:
Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
JOB SKILLS:
8 years experience writing code.
5 years of excellent hands-on experience in application development based on Java/J2EE.
2 years of Design/Development experience in Cúram projects a BIG plus.
Advanced ability to work with Web development, Web Services and EJBs.
Advanced understanding of Oracle databases and basic Database Administration.
Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL.
Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO, Agile).
Experience on multiple major full release project life cycles.
Advanced understanding of modern build, release and configuration methods.
Advanced understanding of testing tools, unit test and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
Advanced experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse), design tools (Rational Rose or similar) and modeling using UML.
Expert in defining quality and security standards.
Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Strong project management/team leader skills.
Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team.
