Junior Programmer Analyst
Title: Junior Programmer Analyst Location: Michigan - Lansing For this specific assignment (during the BAM testing and validation) this role will be assigned to work with HP and DTMB staff to extract data and ready reports to assist in completing BAM test cases. Eventually the data mining tasks will evolve into a Junior Programmer Analyst.
Tasks: · Work with HP, MDOS and DTMB technical staff on the overall design and implementation of data extraction and reports · Identify records that fit testing criteria provided for either a legacy mainframe environment or a relational database. · Manipulate or create test records in the event that existing records cannot be identified. · Review outcomes with testers to optimize the data and analysis. · Continually improve the data retrievals and reports to assist the testing · Provide to HP, MDOS and DTMB staff recommendation on how to use data mining to increase throughput
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
1-3 years experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) COBOL, PL/1, Java, C, C , C#, . Basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle. Basic understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting. Experience using (or an understanding of the use of) an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).
