Description
LAB TECHNICIAN
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identification and Disposition of de-installed and returned Network equipment. * Refurbishment & Testing of Network Equipment. * Return material authorization, quality assurance, reclaim material testing, excess & obsolete (E&O) reduction. * Proactively identify and eliminate network equipment demand/supply alignment gaps. * Interfaces with customers * Achieves internal and external goals by coordinating with Inventory Control, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Contract Administration. * Understands TL9000 and ISO9000 requirements and their relationship to warehousing. * Complies with and promotes safety guidelines * Promotes a clean and organized warehouse operation * Adheres to all company human resources, quality, and operational policies * Works cooperatively and productively with other warehouse personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Network / Testing equipment certification/s is desired. * Experience with Vendor GSM / UMTS Equipment such as Ericsson, Nokia, Lucent and Nortel is desired. * Strong technical aptitude. * Basic knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems. * Ability to lift 50 pounds. * High School diploma or GED. * Ability to troubleshoot complex network equipment problems. * Basic PC Skills (Microsoft Office) * EDD (Electrostatic Discharge): Knowledge of Handling ESD Protected Material * ESD course and test * Safety Training * PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) * Hazardous Communication * MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) * Lockout/Tagout for Affected Personal
