Position Summary
We are looking for a Lead Desktop Support Analyst who is extremely customer focused and has extensivecommodities tradingsupport experience. Below is a brief desription of some of the tasks that you can expect this position to entail:
· Respond to and process requests for support from the Service desk, or directly from clients.
· Provide technical advice on all applications and services.
· Ensure that all requests for support are acted upon in a timely and professional manner and escalated as necessary.
· Ensure that a user experiences minimal disruption by quickly resolving technology problems.
· Provide ad hoc user training on various desktop technologies to improve client effectiveness.
· Identify risks to the client or business and implement solutions to reduce them.
· Advise clients proactively on the best use of the existing technology.
· Coordinate and implement projects within the scope of deskside support.


Requirements
· A+ Certification
· Microsoft Operating Systems (XP)
· Microsoft Office (2007, XP)
· Lotus Notes email, databases, Outlook
· Instant Messenger (AIM, Yahoo, OCS)
· Market Data (Bloomberg, Reuters, Exchange link) Reuters especially and other Commodities Trading Platforms (ICE for example)
· Hardware break/fix (desktop, laptop, printers, etc)
· Blackberry or other PDA devices
· Investment Banking Experience
· Java platform
