Job Description : Who is FICO (formerly Fair Isaac Corporation)?

In this position you will work on the design and development of FICO Model Builder 7, Fair Isaac's premier platform for developing world class analytics. You will be responsible for helping to define and implementing key user interface components and infrastructure of this central tool in the Decision Management tools suite.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
3+ years of software engineering experience in Java development
Design, programming, and problem solving skills in Java, and related tools and frameworks.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented development techniques
Experience with XML based technologies
Developing layered architectures, and abstract interfaces.
Experience with industry standard software development lifecycle processes and quality management
Experience of data modeling concepts and RDBMS
Experience with commonly used design and architecture patterns and their application in Java
Experience with Windows, and Unix based operating systems (e.g. Linux or Solaris) Ability to write clear, concise design documents with some experience in modeling using UML
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or PhD preferred
Experience/education in a quantitative field such as statistical computing, operations research, or applied mathematics is preferred
Knowledge of defining the architecture of the solution and provide technological leadership to the team members.
Problem solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills
Coursework in a quantitative field such as statistical computing, operations research, or applied mathematics is preferred
Experience developing server side Java code and API's is essential. Experience with with analytical programming techniques, knowledge or familiarity with advanced statistical, machine learning and data mining techniques are preferred
Experience in scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, Perl, or Ruby
Experience developing for Eclipse and / or other OSGi based environment
Experience working reporting tools such as Business Objects, Jasper, or BIRT.
Experience in using Data Mining/Business Intelligence tools
Experience in architecting a product or solution
Experience in working in a software product development company
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work with remote teams.
The successful candidate will be required to work with a QA team based in India, and also help with support and documentation tasks in addition to regular software development responsibilities.
