Lead NOC Engineer (Sports Media/Graphics/Web/IT)
Our company is currently seeking a Lead NOC Engineer to work in our TN office. This position will report to the NOC Manager.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 & 2 network service support
Promote and coordinate technical knowledge sharing within the NOC
Implements policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected.
Be the voice of the NOC to ensure the right elements in the enterprise are properly monitored with the right level of alerting response strategies.
Support internal corporate network issues.
Manage escalations for NOC support, provisioning and process issues.
Assist in the training and mentoring of NOC team members.
Help produce and coordinate the completion of NOC documentation.
Manage projects assigned by NOC Management.
Coordinate the completion of NOC trouble tickets in a timely manner.
Responsible for team schedules, driving down backlog and leading the team to perform assigned tasks.
Ability to be hands-on with technology and lead in problem analysis and resolution
Qualifications & Experience
Familiar with NOC tools, ticketing systems, and escalation procedures.
Strong network troubleshooting skills with a keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
Excellent documentation skills.
Proven ability to work independently.
A dedication to customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements: and Experience:
3+ years as a NOC Technician, Senior NOC Technician or Computer Operator
3+ years computer operations experience in a multi-platform environment (UNIX, Linux, Widows Server)
2+ years in a Lead or Management Position within a NOC or Computer Operations group
3+ years experience with telecom operations
3+ years experience with remote co-lo based operations
3+ years experience with Windows Server Administration and/or Linux, Unix or a similar OS
2+ years troubleshooting or customer service skills with hardware and software (HP, Compaq, NMS, Dialogic etc.).
2+ years experience with monitoring tools such as GroundWork Open Source (GWOS, Solarwinds NPM Monitor is required. Remote access experience is required. Candidate must have experience accessing IP-based KVM units.
Bachelors Degree and Technical Certifications are a strong plus.
IT Help Desk experience is a plus. Advanced level of expertise with Microsoft Office tools is required.
Multi-tasking, self-motivated and project-oriented. Project Management experience is a strong plus.
Ability to work individually, within a team, and with other groups.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Presentation skills are required; candidate must be well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and will be required to develop process documentation. Writing samples will be required at interviews.
Excellent interpersonal skills, team building skills and communication skills are required.
On-call and shift based work will be required as necessary.
