Provide Fleet Technical support for the AN/SQQ-89(V)14 and (V)15 Surface Sonar Systems. Task shall consist of troubleshooting system faults, identifying parts/modules required to restore full system functionality. System shall include all sub-systems/equipment that provide data to or supports the (V)14 or (V)15 including VME hardware, UNIX software, LANs, WANs. Provide assessment support during C5RA, INSURV, MCA, ICMP assessment visits. Provide software upgrade installations and INCOs. A minimum of 10 years general hands-on experience technically supporting AN/SQQ-89 series SONAR systems including troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
Requires AS/AA degree or equivalent experience and training. 1. A minimum of 3 years specialized hands-on experience technically supporting the AN/SQQ-89(V) 14 and / or (V) 15 Surface Sonar Systems. 2. A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience providing assessment support (C5RA's, INSURV, MCA's etc) supporting the AN/SQQ-89(V) 14 and / or (V) 15 Surface Sonar Systems. 3. A minimum of 3 years experience performing AN/SQQ-89(V) 14 and / or (V)15 Surface Sonar Systems AN/SQQ-89(V) software installations. 4. A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience technically supporting VME/UNIX based Systems
Experience working with fiber optics is advantageous.
